Beautifully maintained engines and carriages starting from picturesque coastal town Tywyn and heads just over a 7 mile lush green valley run. Well known for a variety of well organised events and its’ famous Children’s Duncan Days. 2011 will see them celebrate 60 years as the world’s first preserved railway.

Just under 12 miles, this steam railway which passes through some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain of any railway in the United Kingdom. Also, popular due to it’s location at Devil’s Bridge, three bridges built on top of each other and the challenging walk that follows steeply down from it.

Starting from the outskirts of Welshpool, you leave the historic market town on a 8 mile run to experience a treasure trove route through the rolling countryside, along the River Banwy and over Brynelin Viaduct. Look out for wildlife on the way.

Starting on a lovely wooded route it is not long before you open out to travel along the Pontsticill Reservoir. A truly spectacular reservoir run in the heart of the Brecon Beacons with majestic mountain views and even the highest peak in South Wales, Pen-Y-Fan.
