The Metropole, in the Victorian Spa town of Llandrindod Wells has been fortunate to host many motor vehicle rallies during its long history, from competitive international events to vintage and classic sports car rallies. Over the last 20 years these have included the Bentley Drivers Club, Sporting Bears Motor Club, the Veteran Car Club, Rolls Royce Enthusiasts, and the MG Car Club to name but a few.

We provide 120 ensuite hotel bedrooms which have all been refurbished this year to a very high standard, spacious dining rooms offering relaxed dining or banqueting for over 250 people with delicious cuisine, two bars providing popular meeting points and conference facilities seating up to 250 people for your AGM. After a long day behind the wheel or map, our indoor Leisure Complex with sauna, steam room and 54 ft swimming pool offers an ideal way to unwind. Of importance to all car enthusiasts, we do have a large car park accommodating 150 cars with CCTV cameras and we are always happy to organise security should this be required.

THE FRONTOF THE HOTEL IS DECEIVING, IT'S SO MUCH LARGER WHEN YOU ARE INSIDE. VERY NICE DINING ROOM, FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF VERY PLEASANT, A NICE LOUNGE TO SIT WITH FRIENDS AND ENJOY COFFEE AND A CHAT. WE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO USE IT BUT THE SWIMMING POOL LOOKED VERY INVITING.

The overall stay was good but not value for money. We have stayed in many hotels and paid far less and had much better accommodation and service.

Another enjoyable and comfortable stay on our annual car rally. One small reservation this year that on the first night service in the restaurant was particularly slow and that there was a language barrier with one or two of the waiters/waitresses.

Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and also were not too obviously "chopped about" - the challenge of the Victorian building is well managed visually at least!

The only negative I have is that the fan and light come on automatically when you walk into the bathroom. The fan doesn't turn off for about 20 mins which is very annoying,especially at 2am.
