The Metropole Hotel is delighted to continuously feature our annual Jazz Weekend in Mid Wales.
Your weekend host, Denise Lawrence, has run her own successful band for 26 years and now has the prestigious ‘Virgin Encyclopedia of Jazz’ where conditions for entry are that the individual should have made a significant contribution to the development of jazz world wide. Denise Lawrence is pretty well unique on the UK jazz scene. Her wide range of material, her dry understated wit, some good old fashioned glamour, her rich contralto voice…she’s the star of the show.
